New colleagues

Proventus is a market leader within direct lending and credit solutions, providing tailored debt instruments and acting as a strategic financial partner to entrepreneurs and companies across Northern Europe.

Since its inception, the German-speaking countries have been a core part of our geographical focus and over the past couple of years, we have completed a number of financing deals in the region. To further strengthen Proventus’ presence and capabilities across German-speaking Europe, Rolf Nuijens (Senior Advisor), Vikas Nanda (Investment Director) and Philip Reibel (Investment Associate) have recently joined the investment team.

Rolf Nuijens

Where did you work before coming to Proventus?

My last position was Fund Manager for the European Investment Funds and member of the Investment Committee at ICG. I was with ICG for 17 years, until April 2015, and had direct responsibility for the investment teams in Northern Europe.

Why did you choose to join Proventus?

The Proventus team has extensive investment experience and a strong track record of providing tailored credit solutions for some 15 years. Given the ambitions of the Proventus team to grow further across Northern Europe, I believe that my experience can be beneficial in helping realize those goals. And, of course, the individuals are all great fun to work with!

What do you hope to accomplish at Proventus?

Proventus is in a very strong position in a fast growing market. It will therefore be exciting to see the team continuing to make profitable investments across Northern Europe, resulting in further growth of assets under management. Additionally, I hope to assist the team in future development of Proventus.

Vikas Nanda

Where did you work before coming to Proventus?

I most recently worked at RBS/NatWest Markets (2014-2017). Before that, I worked at Bayside Capital (2008-2013) and Bear Stearns ESSG (2005-2008).

Why did you choose to join Proventus?

Proventus is an entrepreneurial partnership with good cultural fit and a long-term capital base. This platform provides opportunities to grow the franchise further.

What do you hope to accomplish at Proventus?

I hope to use my experience to provide major contributions in developing the Proventus’ franchise and deal flow in Germany. In particular, I hope to develop special situations lending, pre/post insolvency financings and ramp-up/growth financings as well as develop secondary loan and bond opportunities based on long-standing and trusted relationships.

Philip Reibel

Where did you work before joining Proventus?

Before joining Proventus, I had the opportunity to work with UniCredit and ING in Frankfurt, Munich, and London, where I provided financing solutions to domestic and international clients across a number of industries.

Why did you choose Proventus?

Proventus is satisfying a growing structural demand for active and contrarian non-bank lending to mid-sized companies in a state of transition, and we have a creative approach to solving complex situations. Of course, we have a great team here at Proventus as well!

What do you hope to accomplish at Proventus?

My goal is to build on the successful investing history of Proventus and to help strengthen our franchise in Northern Europe with an emphasis on the German-speaking markets. I hope that I can support medium-sized companies in their ventures by finding the right funding solution for their businesses.
