Continued intense debate on Newsmill

Newsmill, a news-driven social medium for the debate on current affairs issues, co-owned by Proventus, Bonnier AB and PM Nilsson/Leo Lagercrantz, was launched in March 2008. In a press release issued in March 2008 Proventus’ CEO Daniel Sachs said: “I am a firm believer in both the societal benefits and the commercial potential in developing new channels for debate and current affairs journalism.”
Newsmill is attracting an increasing number of readers and commentators and counts approximately 60 000-80 000 unique users each week. The website has quickly become a central arena for debate and Newsmill debates are frequently echoed in major traditional media and in the public debate.
