In the spring of 2020, Caj Tigerstedt found himself walking through Djurgården in Stockholm with Robert Weil. At the time, he had no intention of leaving his role as Head of M&A and Group Investment Manager at Catella. But Robert is a legendary figure in the Swedish investor community. When he calls, you show up.

It wasn’t long before Caj realized that the walk through Djurgården’s lush greenery would change the course of his career. The conversation between him and Robert wasn’t about markets and multiples. It was about democracy, the state of the world, and the role of capital in shaping it. At Proventus, Caj saw a rare chance to work with investments from a long-term perspective and based on own analysis, instead of racing with the hoard to the next short-term return. He decided to join the company as its new Chief Investment Officer.

Caj holds a Master of Science from the Stockholm School of Economics, specializing in Accounting and Financial Management. Prior to joining Proventus, he spent over a decade in investment management and M&A. He began his journey into finance as a teenager analyzing stock markets from his childhood home in Falun, not entirely unlike Robert Weil.
