The Campus.
In a joint venture with the City of Tel Aviv, internationally acclaimed Batsheva Dance Company is establishing an exceptional arts campus at the historical central bus station in south Tel Aviv, Neve Sha’anan.
Designed by distinguished architect David Adjaye, the campus includes two theatres, studios, professional facilities and community spaces, all in a public cultural square with trees, shade and water elements forming a variety of communal spaces to relax, engage, meet and interact.
Led by Artistic Director Ohad Naharin, Batsheva will finally have a home of its own for training, creative processes, performances and dance education.
Batsheva will establish a state-of-the –art dance center, in the encouragement of physical, artistic and intellectual research by the wider dance community. Batsheva will also spearhead excellent artistic programs for diverse audiences, to showcase new and exciting talent across the wide spectrum of the performing arts.
Batsheva is already engaged in a fascinating cooperative process of place-making together with community members, activists, artists and city partners, all toward the creation of an exciting, multifaceted arts campus for all people.
