In 2007, Proventus became a long-term supporter of Maison Louis Carré.

Maison Louis Carré was designed by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto for the French art dealer and collector Louis Carré. The house was completed in 1959 and the swimming pool in 1963.

This masterpiece of modern architecture, combining buildings, garden, furnishings and interior design in a total work of art, is Aalto’s only remaining building in France and one of his most remarkable private villas. The house is now owned by the Alvar Aalto Association in France, which is responsible for its restoration.

International seminars on architecture and design will be organized in what remains an exceptional testimony to civilian architecture in the second half of the 20th century. The seminar committee, chaired by Esa Laaksonen, director of the Aalto Academy in Helsinki, includes Sari Anttonen, Françoise Fromonot, Pentti Kareoja, Marjatta Levanto, Daniel Sachs and Deyan Sudjic.
